The downhill course in St. Anton am Arlberg is known for its extreme steepness and challenging curves, which demand everything from the athletes in the Arlberg Kandahar race. Skiers plunge down steep slopes and wide gliding passages at breathtaking speed, where the slightest mistake can make the difference between victory and defeat. Almost the entire course of the spectacular route can be seen from the finish area, making the descent particularly exciting for spectators.
